How long should I exercise before going to bed so that my sleep quality will not be affected?
Research has found that nighttime exercise too close to bedtime (less than 4 hours), especially vigorous exercise, will result in delayed sleep onset, shorter total sleep time, and reduced sleep quality. However, if the end time of exercise is at least 4 hours before bedtime, even moderate to high intensity exercise will not disturb sleep.
